Automatic cleanup of your media library, hosted in France
The guardian of your media server powered by Maintainerr, installed and maintained by DINAO. Identify and remove unused media according to your rules — with a grace period before deletion.
What is Maintainerr?
Maintainerr is an self-hosted automated maintenance and cleanup tool for media libraries on Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby servers. Based on rules, it identifies old or unwatched media, groups them into a "soon to be deleted" collection with a grace period, and can then delete them from disk and disable tracking in Radarr/Sonarr.
Its rule engine combines properties from Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Radarr, Sonarr, Seerr, Tautulli, and Streamystats with AND/OR logic, and matches metadata via external identifiers (IMDB/TMDB/TVDB). The "Leaving Soon" collections are displayed on the media server home screen for a configurable duration before any actual deletion.
Automated actions (file deletion, unmonitoring, Seerr request purging) are accompanied by multi-channel notifications (Discord, Telegram, Slack, email, Gotify, Webhooks…). Built with NestJS and Next.js and using an embedded SQLite database, under the MIT license, it exposes a documented REST API (OpenAPI) and healthchecks for monitoring.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Will Maintainerr delete my media without warning?
No. Media targeted by your rules are first grouped into a "soon to be deleted" collection displayed on your server during a configurable grace period. Deletion only occurs afterward, and you receive notifications.
Which servers and tools is it compatible with?
Maintainerr integrates with Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby, as well as Radarr, Sonarr, Seerr (Overseerr/Jellyseerr), Tautulli, and Streamystats to build its rules.
How do cleanup rules work?
You combine criteria from your various services with AND/OR logic (e.g., unwatched movie for X days AND added more than Y months ago). Rules can be imported and exported in YAML.
Is my instance protected?
Yes. Maintainerr does not include multi-user authentication: DINAO places it behind a reverse proxy with an auth layer and hosts it in France, in compliance with GDPR.
Can I be notified of actions?
Yes. Maintainerr supports many channels: Discord, Telegram, Slack, email, Gotify, Ntfy, Pushover, Pushbullet, LunaSea, and Webhooks.
