Overview

What is LibreSpeed?

LibreSpeed is a lightweight and self-hostable Internet speed test, written in pure JavaScript. Unlike public services, it requires no Flash, Java, or WebSocket: everything relies on XMLHttpRequest and Web Workers.

You install it on your own server and keep full control over results and telemetry. It measures download and upload speed, ping, and jitter, offers a connection stability test with a latency curve, and can display the IP address, ISP, and distance to the server.

With multiple backends (PHP, Node.js, Go, Rust), optional telemetry, CSV export, and a responsive interface, LibreSpeed deploys easily via Docker.
