Your sovereign usage-based billing
The open-source metering and billing engine Lago, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your revenue data and customers stay on our French servers — you keep control over your pricing.
What is Lago?
Lago is an open-source infrastructure for metering, billing and revenue for product-led companies. It allows you to ingest usage events in real time, aggregate them, and automatically generate invoices for subscription, usage-based or hybrid models.
The platform covers the entire lifecycle: flexible pricing (plans, tiers, usage), entitlements linking feature access to subscribed plans, orchestrated collection across multiple payment gateways with dunning (dunning), and revenue analytics (MRR, usage trends). Lago is resolutely API-first : you send events via the API and receive updates via webhooks.
Technically, Lago relies on an API, a web interface, PostgreSQL and Redis, with dedicated workers to handle high volumes. Deployed in containers by DINAO, it becomes a sovereign billing engine, hosted in France.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does Lago replace my payment processor?
No, it orchestrates it. Lago calculates usage, generates invoices and triggers collection via your gateways (Stripe, GoCardless…). It manages billing; the actual debit remains with your processor.
Is my billing data hosted in France?
Yes. Your Lago instance and its PostgreSQL database run on DINAO infrastructure in France. Your customers and revenue do not leave for a third-party SaaS.
Can I manage complex pricing models?
Yes. Lago handles flat-rate, usage-based, tiers, hybrid models and entitlements. You build your grid via the API or interface, without rewriting your billing code.
How do I integrate it with my product?
Lago is API-first: you send usage events via the API, and receive updates (invoices, payments) via webhooks. SDKs facilitate integration.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Your data stays in your PostgreSQL database, exportable at any time — no proprietary lock-in.
