Overview

What is Koillection?

Koillection is a self-hosted web application that allows you to manage all kinds of collections. Built with PHP/Symfony, it operates as a Progressive Web App and lets users catalog any type of object: books, records, games, stamps, wines, figurines, etc.

Each collection is fully customizable through custom fields and metadata, and can be organized into nested collections, items, tags, 'signs', and wish lists. Optional HTML scrapers speed up data entry by automatically retrieving item information.

Designed for controlled sharing and multi-user support, Koillection offers fine-grained visibility control, a REST API (API Platform), support for PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or MySQL, a dark mode, and a multilingual interface including French. Deployment is simple via Docker.

What types of collections can I manage?

All of them. Koillection is agnostic: books, vinyls, video games, stamps, minerals, wines, figurines… You define your own fields and metadata for each type of collection.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your inventory and files remain on your French instance. Nothing is shared without your action: you decide collection by collection what is public or private.

Can I use it on mobile?

Yes. The interface is an installable PWA for smartphones and tablets, with dark mode, to view and update your collection on the go.

Is there an API?

Yes, a complete REST API (based on API Platform) allows you to automate import/export or connect your own tools.

Can I change my plan or export my data?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
