What is KeeWeb?

KeeWeb is an open-source password manager compatible with KeePass, accessible directly from a web browser. It opens and edits vaults in the standard .kdbx format through a modern and user-friendly interface, without requiring software installation on each device.

Security relies on KeePass's proven encryption: your vaults are decrypted in the browser using your master password, and the server only handles encrypted files. KeeWeb also works as a progressive web application with offline mode, and can synchronize vaults via WebDAV or dedicated storage.

Because it relies on the standard .kdbx format, KeeWeb does not lock in your data: your vaults remain fully usable with KeePass, KeePassXC, and their mobile apps. Self-hosted at DINAO, it offers convenient web access while keeping your secrets sovereign, stored in France on a dedicated instance.
