Kanboard is an open source project management software based on the Kanban method. Its deliberately clean interface visualizes workflow in columns: each task is a card that you move from one step to another by drag-and-drop. You can see at a glance who is doing what and where each topic stands, with the ability to limit work in progress (WIP) to avoid overload.

Lightweight and written in PHP, Kanboard remains fast even on small configurations. It offers everything needed — swimlanes, subtasks, deadlines, labels, attachments, reports, and analytics — without the complexity of tools like Jira. It runs on SQLite, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and can be extended via numerous community plugins.

For automation, Kanboard exposes a JSON-RPC API, webhooks, and notifications, and integrates with directories via LDAP / SSO. Self-hosted with DINAO, it becomes a management tool at a fixed price — no per-seat billing — with projects remaining in France, under your control.
