Your notebooks, hosted in France
A dedicated Jupyter instance, installed and maintained by DINAO. Code, data, visualizations, and machine learning in an interactive notebook — your data stays on our French servers.
What is Jupyter Notebook?
Jupyter Notebook is the reference environment for interactive computing and data science. It brings together in a single document — the notebook — executable code, its results, visualizations, and explanatory text in Markdown format. It is the essential tool for data scientists, researchers, analysts, and educators to explore data, prototype, and document their work.
Although centered on Python, Jupyter supports dozens of kernels (R, Julia, and others) and relies on a rich ecosystem: Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn for analysis and machine learning, Matplotlib, Plotly for visualization. For heavier workloads, a GPU allows you to train deep learning models directly within the notebook.
In JupyterLab version and with JupyterHub, the tool becomes a true multi-user data workstation. Self-hosted at DINAO, it ensures that your datasets — often sensitive — and your analyses remain in France, on a dedicated instance, rather than on a foreign analysis cloud.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.
Technical details
You might be wondering…
Which languages can I use?
Python first, but also R, Julia, and dozens of other kernels. You can install the necessary libraries for your analyses (Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.).
Can I train machine learning models?
Yes. Higher-tier plans offer a GPU (optional or dedicated) to accelerate the training of machine learning and deep learning models directly in your notebooks.
Can multiple people work together?
Yes, via JupyterHub (optional), which provides each team member with their own isolated notebook environment, while sharing the infrastructure managed by DINAO.
Are my datasets secure?
Your data and notebooks remain on your dedicated instance hosted in France, encrypted at rest and in transit. Nothing is sent to a third-party analysis cloud.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your data does not leave the territory and remains exportable.
