What is Jitsi Meet?
Jitsi Meet is a free and open-source video conferencing solution, designed for high-quality video and audio meetings directly in the browser, without requiring participants to install anything or create an account. Based on WebRTC technology, it offers a smooth, encrypted experience accessible with a single click on a link.
The tool offers all the features expected of a professional platform : HD video and audio, screen sharing, instant messaging, hand raising, polls, password-protected rooms, and waiting rooms. Recording and live streaming are available via the Jibri component, and mobile apps complement browser access.
Architected around modular components (the Jitsi Videobridge media bridge, Prosody XMPP server, Jicofo gateway…), Jitsi Meet is highly customizable and integrates via SSO/OIDC and calendars. Self-hosted by DINAO, it becomes a sovereign alternative to proprietary platforms, where your meetings never transit through foreign servers.

No. Unlike the free offers from proprietary platforms, your instance does not impose a time limit. Capacity depends on the chosen sizing.
Where do meeting streams transit?
Through the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your meetings do not pass through foreign servers.
Are my meetings secure?
Yes. Streams are encrypted in transit, rooms can be password-protected, and end-to-end encryption (E2EE) is available as an option depending on the context.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Your recordings and configuration remain exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
