What is Jenkins?
Jenkins is the reference open-source automation server for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD). It orchestrates the building, testing, and delivery of your applications, turning every commit into a reproducible and traceable processing chain.
Its pipeline as code model (Jenkinsfile) describes build, test, and deployment steps directly in your repository, versioned with the code. Builds can be triggered on commit, tag, or schedule, run in parallel, and distribute across a fleet of distributed agents to handle the load.
Jenkins' strength lies in its ecosystem of over 1,800 plugins: Git integration (GitLab, GitHub, Gitea), Docker, Kubernetes, quality analysis (SonarQube), notifications, and secure secret management. Mature, extensible, and vendor-neutral, it constitutes a complete and sovereign software factory.

Why host Jenkins instead of a cloud CI?
With Jenkins managed by DINAO, your source code, artifacts, and especially your deployment secrets stay in France. You avoid exposing your intellectual property and keys to a foreign CI platform, and you control costs.
Can Jenkins deploy to my servers?
Yes. Through pipelines and plugins (SSH, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible…), Jenkins automates your deployments on your own servers or infrastructure, from build to production.
Does it connect to my Git repository?
Yes. Jenkins integrates with GitLab, GitHub, Gitea, and any Git repository: builds are automatically triggered on every commit, tag, or merge request.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your code and secrets do not leave the territory.
Can I change my plan or export my configuration?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your configuration (jobs, pipelines, history) remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
