YouTube, no ads or Google tracking
A private Invidious instance, installed and maintained by DINAO. Watch YouTube videos without ads, without tracking, and without a Google account — your searches stay in France.
What is Invidious?
Invidious is an open-source alternative front-end for YouTube that respects privacy. It allows you to browse YouTube videos, channels, and playlists without ads, without Google cookies, and without tracking, through a lightweight interface that loads much faster than the official site.
Unlike the standard YouTube player, Invidious does not execute Google's advertising and tracking scripts. It offers local accounts to manage your subscriptions and playlists without relying on a Google account, audio-only mode for listening, free quality selection, as well as RSS feeds and a public API to follow channels.
Written in Crystal, the project is actively maintained by a community that regularly adapts Invidious to YouTube's changes. Self-hosted, it ensures that your search history and viewing habits remain private rather than feeding the advertising profile managed by mainstream platforms.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Do I need a Google account to use it?
No, that's the whole point. You can watch videos without any Google account, and create a local Invidious account to keep your subscriptions and playlists — without Google knowing.
How does Invidious remove ads?
Invidious fetches video streams without going through YouTube's official player, which is the vector for ads and tracking. You get the video, without the ad breaks or advertising scripts.
Is it legal and stable?
Invidious is a widely used open-source project. YouTube regularly updates its mechanisms, which may require patches: DINAO monitors these changes and applies updates to keep the service operational.
Can I import my existing subscriptions?
Yes. Invidious allows you to import your subscriptions (notably via an OPML file) and export them at any time. No lock-in: your data follows you.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO's French infrastructure, in one of the available data centers. Your searches and preferences never leave the territory.
