What is InsForge?
InsForge is an all-in-one open-source backend platform designed for agentic code. It provides your programming agents with everything needed to deliver full-stack applications from end to end: database, authentication, storage, compute, hosting, and AI gateway.
Technically, InsForge unites PostgreSQL, JWT-based authentication, S3-compatible storage, real-time messaging, edge functions, and AI integration into a single platform whose APIs remain predictable for agents. It acts as a semantic layer between agents and backend primitives, enabling them to understand, reason about, and operate on them.
InsForge works with any agent or editor compatible with MCP (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Codex, Cline, and others). The source code is released under the Apache 2.0 license and the tool deploys via Docker Compose, making it ideal for a managed and sovereign instance.

The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

What services are included?
PostgreSQL database, authentication, S3-compatible storage, edge functions, and AI gateway — all in a single platform, without assembling separate components.
Does my data stay in France?
Yes. Your InsForge instance runs on DINAO infrastructure in France, in an isolated container. Your application data does not leave the territory.
Which agents and editors are compatible?
Any tool supporting MCP: Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Codex, Cline, and others. The AI gateway allows you to connect your models.
Can I export my data?
Yes. InsForge is open-source (Apache 2.0) and your data remains exportable — including PostgreSQL database and files. No proprietary lock-in.
