What is Hoop?
Hoop is an open-source access gateway (under the MIT license) for databases and servers, designed as a secure alternative to VPNs, credential sharing, and access tickets. It falls under the PAM (Privileged Access Management) domain: controlling who can access your most sensitive systems, when, and what they can do.
Hoop integrates with your existing identity providers (SSO/OIDC) and offers real-time data masking of personal data and secrets directly at the protocol level, without complex configuration. Each session is logged and auditable, making it a valuable tool for compliance and security reviews.
Available via web, desktop, and command-line clients, Hoop deploys with standard tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Hosted by DINAO in France, it offers you sovereign access governance: policies and audit logs remain on French servers, under your control.

Yes. Each session is recorded and auditable: who logged in, when, to which resource, and what was executed. This is a strong asset for GDPR compliance and security audits.
Is Hoop really open-source?
Yes. The Hoop gateway is open-source under the MIT license: every component that intercepts and processes data in transit is public and inspectable. DINAO hosts it for you in France.
