What is Homebridge?
Homebridge is a lightweight open-source gateway that emulates an Apple HomeKit bridge, opening Apple's home automation ecosystem to thousands of smart devices that do not natively support it. In practice, it allows you to control devices from various brands and protocols using the Home app and Siri.
Its strength lies in its ecosystem of over 2000 community plugins covering thermostats, cameras, plugs, bulbs, shutters, sensors, and home automation hubs. A web administration interface (Homebridge UI) allows you to install and configure these plugins without using the command line.
Hosted by DINAO in France, Homebridge centralizes control of your home or office on your premises, reducing dependence on manufacturer clouds. Combined with a sovereign VPN, it offers secure remote access while keeping your configurations on French servers.

This application requires privileged access to the host machine, which is incompatible with managed shared hosting. It is installed on a VPS (virtual private server) that you administer: DINAO delivers it with Docker and the management panel of your choice, and you install and maintain Homebridge yourself. The VPS is not managed by DINAO unless you add the managed-services option when ordering.
