All your belongings, inventoried and sovereign
A home inventory manager powered by Homebox, installed and maintained by DINAO. Catalog, photos, warranties, and QR codes — your data stays hosted in France.
What is Homebox?
Homebox is an open source and self-hostable inventory and organization system, designed specifically for home use: cataloging household items. It allows you to catalog your objects with photos, attached documents, and custom fields, and organize them via a hierarchy of locations (rooms, furniture, boxes), categories, and tags.
It tracks purchases, warranties, and maintenance of items, with powerful search capabilities. Homebox generates printable labels and QR codes and offers an AR mode: point your camera at a QR code to display the item's details. The entire inventory — attachments, tags, and entities — can be exported as a ZIP archive that can be reimported into another instance.
Technically, Homebox relies on a Go single-binary backend and a SQLite database, with a Vue / TypeScript frontend. Very lightweight, it deploys in a Docker container (standard, rootless, or hardened images).

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is Homebox for?
To inventory and organize all household items: objects, locations, photos, and documents. Ideal for insurance, moving, or simply finding what you own.
What database does it use?
SQLite, embedded and requiring no external configuration. Coupled with a very lightweight Go backend, Homebox runs easily on a small instance.
How do I physically find an item?
Homebox generates printable labels and QR codes. An AR mode also allows you to point your camera at a code to directly display the item's details.
Can I track warranties?
Yes. Homebox manages tracking of purchases, warranties, and maintenance operations, with invoices and manuals attached to each item.
Is my data exportable?
Yes. The entire inventory — items, attachments, tags, entities — can be exported as a ZIP archive that can be reimported. No vendor lock-in.
