What is Hermes Workspace?
Hermes Workspace is the open-source web interface (MIT license) for Hermes Agent, a self-improving AI agent developed by Nous Research. It brings together in a single self-hostable dashboard the chat, persistent memory, a skills marketplace, a terminal, and multi-agent orchestration, accessible from any device.
The workspace connects to any OpenAI-compatible backend and unlocks its advanced features — sessions, memory, skills, and jobs — when associated with the Hermes gateway. It features a memory browser (browsing, searching, and editing Markdown files), a registry of thousands of skills, and a file manager with the Monaco editor.
Built in TypeScript and React, it is distributed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with full mobile support and a theming system. Self-hosted on your DINAO infrastructure, it keeps your conversations, the agent's memory, and your API keys under your control, rather than relying on external services.

The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

Do my conversations and keys remain private?
Yes. Everything — conversations, agent memory, API keys — remains on your instance hosted in France by DINAO, rather than on third-party services.
