What is Haven?
Haven is a minimalist blog engine designed to share your life privately with a close circle of friends and family, far from public social networks. The administrator manually creates accounts for authorized readers: there is no open registration, eliminating any risk of strangers intruding.
Each member has a Markdown editor with live preview to write their posts, and can follow other blogs via private RSS feeds and a built-in RSS reader. The app handles image, video, and audio media, and automatically resizes images to lighten page loads.
The focus is on simplicity and performance: no JavaScript frameworks, no ads or trackers. Built in Ruby on Rails and distributed under the MIT license, Haven deploys as a Docker container.

No managed container for Haven: this application is installed on a VPS hosted in France (1 vCPU / 512 Mo / 5 Go minimum).
Application available on a VPS
This application requires privileged access to the host machine, which is incompatible with managed shared hosting. It is installed on a VPS (virtual private server) that you administer: DINAO delivers it with Docker and the management panel of your choice, and you install and maintain Haven yourself. The VPS is not managed by DINAO unless you add the managed-services option when ordering.

Who can read my Haven blog?
Only people for whom you have created an account. No public registration is possible: your journal remains invisible to strangers.
Do I need to know how to code to publish?
No. The Markdown editor with live preview is enough to write and format your posts, add images, videos, or audio.
How do my loved ones follow my posts?
Each member has a private RSS feed and a built-in RSS reader to follow other people's blogs in the circle.
Is there advertising or tracking?
No. Haven is designed privacy-first: no ads, no trackers, no intrusive JS frameworks. Your data is never monetized.
Are my contents exportable?
Yes. Haven is open source (MIT) and your data remains yours: no proprietary lock-in, DINAO ensures export on request.
