Your web statistics, without tracking, hosted in France
A privacy-friendly web analytics powered by GoatCounter, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your statistics remain on our French servers — no cookies, no consent banner.
What is GoatCounter?
GoatCounter is an open source web analytics platform (EUPL-1.2 license) designed to provide simple, useful, and privacy-respecting statistics as an alternative to Google Analytics or Matomo. It identifies unique visits without cookies or personal data storage.
Because it does not track users with unique identifiers, GoatCounter generally does not require any consent banner. It provides essential information in a readable format: page views, unique visitors, referrers, browsers, operating systems, and countries, with period filters and fine-grained control over collected data. The script added to your pages weighs only about 3.5 KB, with no impact on performance.
Written in Go, GoatCounter uses SQLite by default, with the option to switch to PostgreSQL for high volumes. It exposes an API, CSV exports, and deploys as a Docker container for ethical and sovereign audience measurement.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does GoatCounter comply with GDPR?
Yes, by design. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not set persistent identifiers, and does not store any personal data. Therefore, in most cases, it does not require a consent banner, unlike Google Analytics.
Is it an alternative to Google Analytics?
Yes. GoatCounter provides clear and useful web statistics (page views, visitors, referrers, countries) while remaining privacy-friendly and very lightweight — adding about 3.5 KB to your pages.
Do my statistics remain in France?
Yes. Your instance is hosted on DINAO's infrastructure in France, within a dedicated container. Your audience data never leaves the territory and is not shared with any third party.
Can I track multiple sites?
Yes. Depending on the plan, GoatCounter tracks one or more sites from the same instance, using SQLite or PostgreSQL for higher volumes.
Can I export my data or change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable (CSV, API) — no proprietary lock-in.
