What is GlitchTip?
GlitchTip is an open-source error tracking platform compatible with the Sentry API. Presented as a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to Sentry, it helps teams monitor application errors, performance, and service availability, all in one place.
Its main advantage is its full compatibility with Sentry SDKs: all official SDKs (JavaScript, Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET, mobile…) work without code modifications, simply by pointing the DSN to the GlitchTip instance. The platform captures unhandled exceptions, context (breadcrumbs), source maps, and version tracking, using the same workflows developers already know.
Designed for self-hosting, GlitchTip relies on a simple architecture (web application, Celery worker, PostgreSQL, and Redis) with a small footprint and no imposed event quotas. It offers intelligent error grouping, alerts (email, Slack, webhooks), and uptime monitoring, making it an ideal choice for keeping control of your debugging data on a sovereign infrastructure.

No. GlitchTip is compatible with official Sentry SDKs. Simply point your DSN to your GlitchTip instance: no code changes are required.
Is there an event quota like on Sentry SaaS?
With self-hosting at DINAO, you are not limited by the event quotas of SaaS offers. The volume depends on your instance resources, which you can scale.
Does GlitchTip also monitor availability?
Yes. Beyond error tracking, GlitchTip offers performance monitoring and uptime monitoring for your sites, all in a single interface.
Where are error data stored?
On DINAO infrastructure in France. Your error reports and application data do not leave the country, in compliance with GDPR.
What technical components are deployed?
GlitchTip relies on a web application, a Celery worker for background tasks, a PostgreSQL database, and Redis. DINAO installs and maintains everything for you.
