What is Glances?
Glances is an open-source, cross-platform system monitoring tool that provides a quick overview of a server's health. Written in Python, it consolidates a wide range of metrics in real time: CPU usage, memory, load, disk space and activity, network traffic, most resource-intensive processes, temperature sensors, and Docker containers.
Its strength lies in its information density: everything is displayed clearly and colorfully, with a threshold system that highlights resources under stress. Glances can be used in the terminal, but also via a modern web interface and a REST API, allowing you to feed your own dashboards.
For long-term monitoring, Glances can export its metrics to dedicated databases (InfluxDB, Prometheus, and others), easily coupled with Grafana. Lightweight and distributed as a container, it integrates naturally into a managed infrastructure. Hosted in France by DINAO, it keeps your infrastructure metrics under your control, with no external telemetry.

No. Your metrics remain on your instance hosted in France. No telemetry is sent to external services, in compliance with GDPR.
Can I connect Glances to Grafana?
Yes. Glances can export its metrics to databases like InfluxDB or Prometheus, which you can then visualize in Grafana for historical dashboards.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
