Scientific data analysis, no coding required
A scientific workflow platform powered by Galaxy, installed and maintained by DINAO. Analyze, share, and reproduce your data processing — your datasets stay in France.
What is Galaxy?
Galaxy is an open-source, web-based scientific data analysis platform designed to make research accessible, reproducible, and transparent. Born in the field of genomics and bioinformatics, it is now used as a generic framework for intensive data processing across many disciplines.
Its principle: enabling researchers who are not developers to chain analysis tools within workflows built visually, without writing a single line of code. Galaxy provides access to a vast catalog of tools via the Tool Shed, manages the execution of processing (including heavy tasks), and maintains a complete history of each analysis.
This traceability is at the heart of Galaxy: every step — tool, version, parameters, data — is recorded, making analyses fully reproducible and shareable. The platform also offers an API and a command-line interface to automate processing. Managed by DINAO and hosted in France, it provides your research teams with a sovereign environment suited to sensitive data.

You might be wondering…
Do I need to know how to program to use Galaxy?
No. That's the whole point of Galaxy: you chain analysis tools via a web interface and a visual workflow editor, without writing command-line code. An API remains available for advanced users.
Is Galaxy reserved for bioinformatics?
No. Historically focused on genomics and computational biology, Galaxy has become a generic platform for intensive data analysis, used in many scientific disciplines.
Do my datasets remain confidential?
Yes. Your data remains on your instance hosted in France, within an isolated container. This is suitable for sensitive research data, in compliance with GDPR.
Are my analyses reproducible?
Yes. Galaxy traces every step (tools, versions, parameters) and allows you to replay a workflow identically, share it, and publish it — a major asset for reproducible science.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data and workflows remain exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
