What is FileFlows?
FileFlows is an open-source media file processing automation tool, covering encoding, decoding, and media management through an intuitive graphical interface and a rich plugin ecosystem. It executes actions on files based on a tree-structured workflow.
FileFlows allows you to design, schedule, and run automated processing pipelines, from a single server to a distributed cluster. It is used for video transcoding, audio processing, images, ebooks, and more: format conversion, volume normalization, tagging, and compression to save significant storage space.
With the right configuration, FileFlows leverages Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD GPUs to accelerate video processing. Written in .NET and based on a plugin system, this Docker application monitors directories for files matching specific criteria and applies defined workflows — a sovereign foundation for industrializing your media processing.
Host FileFlows at DINAO
No managed container for FileFlows: this application is installed on a VPS hosted in France (2 vCPU / 2 Go / 10 Go minimum).
Application available on a VPS
This application requires privileged access to the host machine, which is incompatible with managed shared hosting. It is installed on a VPS (virtual private server) that you administer: DINAO delivers it with Docker and the management panel of your choice, and you install and maintain FileFlows yourself. The VPS is not managed by DINAO unless you add the managed-services option when ordering.

What is FileFlows used for?

Is transcoding accelerated?
Yes. With the right configuration, FileFlows leverages Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD GPUs to accelerate video processing. The Studio tier offers GPU as an option, while the Cluster tier provides a dedicated GPU.
Where are my files hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your media never leaves the territory.
Can I process large volumes?
Yes. FileFlows scales from a single server to a distributed cluster of processing nodes with queues, allowing it to handle large media libraries.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your files and workflows remain exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
