What is FileBrowser?
File Browser is a lightweight web application that provides a file management interface within a given directory. Designed as a minimalist "build-your-own-cloud" solution, it deploys easily (a single binary or container) and allows you to manage your files from any browser.
The tool allows you to upload, delete, preview, and edit files, manage multiple user accounts with an authentication system, run custom commands, and customize the interface. Its simplicity makes it an ideal solution for providing quick web access to a folder or storage volume.
File Browser is aimed at users looking for a simple, standalone web file manager, without the heaviness of a full collaborative suite. Note that the project is now in maintenance mode: it remains functional and stable but is no longer actively developed.

No managed container for FileBrowser: this application is installed on a VPS hosted in France (1 vCPU / 64 Mo / 256 Mo + volume des fichiers minimum).
Application available on a VPS
This application requires privileged access to the host machine, which is incompatible with managed shared hosting. It is installed on a VPS (virtual private server) that you administer: DINAO delivers it with Docker and the management panel of your choice, and you install and maintain FileBrowser yourself. The VPS is not managed by DINAO unless you add the managed-services option when ordering.

FileBrowser is ideal when you simply want to access a folder of files via the browser, without sync or online office features. It is lighter and faster to deploy for a specific need.
Can I share files with external parties?
Yes. You generate password-protected and expiration-dated share links, without requiring the recipient to create an account.
Where are the data hosted?
On DINAO's French infrastructure, in one of the available data centers. Your files never leave the territory.
Are technical skills required?
No for usage: the web interface is immediate, nothing to install on the client side. DINAO handles installation, security, and updates.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your files remain directly downloadable — no proprietary lock-in.
