Your files, accessible from a simple browser
Browse, share, and manage your online files with File Browser, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your files stay on our French servers — not in a foreign cloud.
What is File Browser?
File Browser is a lightweight, elegant open-source web file manager that turns any server directory into a storage space accessible from a browser. You can navigate through your folders, upload via drag-and-drop, preview images, videos, and documents, and edit text files directly online.
The tool includes user management with permissions and isolated directories, as well as share links protected by a password and with an expiration date — perfect for sharing a file with a recipient without creating an account for them.
Written in Go, as a single binary and deployable in a container, File Browser is a minimalist alternative to heavy collaborative suites : ideal when you simply want to access your files online. Hosted by DINAO, it keeps your files in France, on an isolated and supervised instance.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is File Browser?
It is a lightweight web file manager: you access your folders from a browser, upload, download, preview, and share your files, with user management.
Do my files remain private?
Yes. Everything is stored on your instance hosted in France. No data is transmitted to a third-party service.
Can I share a file without creating an account for the recipient?
Yes. File Browser generates share links, which you can protect with a password and set to expire automatically.
Can I manage multiple users?
Yes. You create accounts with permissions and isolated directories: each user only accesses their authorized folders.
How does it differ from Nextcloud?
File Browser is intentionally lighter and more minimalist: a simple web file explorer, without the full collaborative suite. It's ideal when you just want to access files online.
