Explo is a self-hosted music discovery server that automates recommendations by linking your listening history to your own media library. At regular intervals, it retrieves weekly and daily recommendation playlists from ListenBrainz, based on your actual listening habits.

For each recommendation, Explo finds the corresponding track via YouTube or Soulseek, retrieves it, and automatically creates playlists in your music server: Navidrome, Jellyfin, Emby, Plex, Subsonic, Airsonic, or MPD. Everything runs on a cron schedule that you control.

Unlike commercial streaming services, Explo prioritizes transparency and control over your data: every recommendation is traceable back to your ListenBrainz history, and all retrieved tracks reside on your own server. A web interface allows you to manage schedules, browse playlist history, and trigger manual executions.
