A simple and fast file server, hosted in France
Dufs is a lightweight file server: static sharing, upload, search, WebDAV, and access control, all in one ultra-fast tool. Installed and maintained by DINAO, on our French servers.
What is Dufs?
Dufs is a lightweight and versatile file server, written in Rust and distributed as a single binary. Despite its simplicity, it covers most sharing needs: static file service, upload, deletion, search, index rendering, and access via the WebDAV protocol.
Its web interface allows you to browse, upload, and search for files directly from the browser, while WebDAV enables mounting the space as a network drive on workstations. On the security side, Dufs offers access control per user and per folder, granular read/write permissions, TLS support, compression, file hashing, and customizable error pages.
All configuration is done via a simple YAML file or environment variables, making Dufs very easy to operate. Its low memory footprint and instant startup make it an ideal choice for efficient file sharing without over-engineering. Hosted by DINAO in France, it becomes a sovereign, encrypted, and GDPR-compliant file space.

What is Dufs used for?
Dufs is a lightweight file server: it serves static files, allows upload, deletion, and search from the browser, and exposes WebDAV access. It's the ideal tool for sharing files simply.
What is WebDAV access?
WebDAV allows you to mount your Dufs space as a network drive on Windows, macOS, or Linux. Your remote files are then used as if they were stored locally.
How do I control who accesses the files?
Dufs manages access control per user and per folder, with separate read/write rights. IP-based restriction is available as an option to enhance security.
Is Dufs fast?
Yes. Written in Rust and distributed as a single binary, Dufs has a very low memory footprint and starts instantly. It is suitable even for small instances.
