What is DreamFactory?

DreamFactory is an open-source platform for automatic REST API generation. Its principle is simple and powerful: you connect an existing data source — a SQL or NoSQL database, a remote service, a file system — and DreamFactory instantly exposes a complete, secure, and documented REST API, without writing any code.

The platform supports numerous connectors (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB…) and generates Swagger / OpenAPI documentation for each source, always kept up to date. Beyond simple exposure, DreamFactory allows you to add business logic through server-side scripts executed before or after requests: validation, transformation, orchestration of multiple sources, webhooks.
