Design your databases visually
A schema and ER diagram editor powered by drawDB, installed and maintained by DINAO. Model your tables and export your SQL — on our French servers, in compliance with GDPR.
What is drawDB?
drawDB is a robust, free, open source database schema editor and entity-relationship diagramming tool. It runs directly in the browser, without heavy installation, allowing you to visually build the structure of a database in just a few clicks.
Thanks to a drag-and-drop interface, you create tables, define their fields, keys, and indexes, then link tables together to materialize relationships. The ER diagram updates in real time, offering a clear view of the data architecture. Once the model is ready, drawDB exports the SQL script for creation across many DBMSs (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MariaDB, SQL Server…), as well as in image or JSON format.
The tool also supports importing an existing SQL script to automatically reconstruct the schema — a practical reverse engineering feature for documenting or evolving an existing database. Lightweight, intuitive, and without connection to production databases, drawDB is the ideal ally for designing, sharing, and documenting data models.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does drawDB connect to my database?
No. drawDB is a design tool: you visually model your schema and then export the SQL creation script. It does not connect to your production databases, making it completely secure.
Which DBMSs are supported for export?
drawDB generates SQL for major engines: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MariaDB, and SQL Server, among others.
Can I import an existing schema?
Yes. drawDB can import an SQL script to automatically reconstruct the corresponding diagram, which you can then evolve visually.
Are my diagrams private?
Yes. On your DINAO instance, your diagrams are stored on a dedicated, backed-up volume, hosted in France, accessible only to your authorized users.
Where are my data hosted?
On DINAO's French infrastructure, in one of the available datacenters, in an isolated container. Your schemas never leave the territory.
