Downtify retrieves your playlists and tracks in a self-hosted format, with cover art and metadata, all on your own instance. Installed and maintained by DINAO, on our French servers.
What is Downtify?
Downtify is a self-hosted web application that allows you to retrieve playlists and music tracks in a local format, accompanied by their album cover and metadata. The entire setup deploys simply via Docker, in a single container that orchestrates the entire processing chain.
Technically, Downtify resolves track information from public pages, finds the best audio match, downloads it with yt-dlp, converts it via ffmpeg, and then integrates the cover, lyrics, and tags using mutagen. The result: a cleanly tagged file, ready to join your personal library.
Its Playlist Monitor function goes further by automatically monitoring your favorite playlists to retrieve new content without intervention. Note: the tool is neutral, and the user remains responsible for its use and compliance with copyright law. Hosted by DINAO in France, Downtify runs on an isolated and sovereign instance, which you fully control.

How does Downtify work?

The « Playlist Monitor » allows Downtify to monitor your favorite playlists and automatically retrieve new tracks added to them, without any intervention on your part.
Am I responsible for my usage?
Yes. Downtify is a neutral tool: the user is responsible for its use and compliance with copyright law. DINAO provides hosting and instance maintenance, not the content.
Where are my files hosted?
On your DINAO instance in France, in one of the available data centers. Your files are not shared and remain yours.
Can I retrieve my library?
Yes. Your files remain exportable and accessible. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, without proprietary lock-in.
