The simple and durable wiki for your documentation
A database-free wiki powered by DokuWiki, installed and maintained by DINAO. Document your knowledge in readable, long-lasting text files — on our French servers, in compliance with GDPR.
What is DokuWiki?
DokuWiki is an open source wiki renowned for its ease of use and versatility. Its key feature: it runs without a database. Each page is stored in a simple text file, making backups, version control, and migrations particularly easy, while ensuring great robustness and content longevity.
Its clear wiki syntax allows for quick creation of structured documentation. DokuWiki natively integrates versioning for each page, media management, page templates, and a namespaces system to organize large amounts of content. A powerful ACL (access control) system finely manages read and write permissions, with support for LDAP, Active Directory, and SSO authentication.
Extensible through hundreds of plugins and themes, DokuWiki adapts as well to a technical manual as to a corporate intranet, knowledge base, or project documentation. Its lightweight nature and lack of heavy dependencies make it a durable and easy-to-maintain solution.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Why a database-free wiki?
DokuWiki stores each page in a simple text file. This makes backups, versioning, and migrations trivial, eliminates a single point of failure (the DBMS), and ensures your content remains readable even in the long term.
Can I finely manage who accesses what?
Yes. DokuWiki's ACL system allows assigning read and write permissions per page and per namespace, with LDAP/AD or SSO authentication.
Is DokuWiki extensible?
Very. Hundreds of plugins and themes allow adding features (rich syntax, integrations, diagrams) and adapting the appearance to your brand guidelines.
Are my old page versions preserved?
Yes. Every change is logged. You can compare versions and restore a previous state at any time.
Where is my data hosted?
On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers, in an isolated container. Your files never leave the territory.
