Never miss a Docker image update again
A image update notifier powered by Diun, installed and maintained by DINAO. Monitor your registries and get real-time alerts — from our French servers, in compliance with GDPR.
What is Diun?
Diun (Docker Image Update Notifier) is a lightweight open source command-line utility written in Go, with a simple mission: to alert you when an update is available for a Docker image you use. Lightweight and self-contained, it integrates naturally into a container infrastructure without adding operational overhead.
Diun can monitor images in several ways: from your running Docker containers, your Docker Swarm or Kubernetes services, a configuration file, or directly by querying a registry (Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry, GitLab, Quay, private registries). It detects both updates to existing tags and the appearance of new tags.
When a new version is detected, Diun sends a notification via one of its many supported channels — email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, Gotify, webhooks and more. It never updates the containers itself: it leaves the decision and timing of deployment to the administrator, making it an ideal companion for a controlled maintenance approach.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does Diun update my containers automatically?
No, and that's intentional: Diun notifies you that an update is available but never touches your containers. You retain full control over the deployment timing.
Which registries can I monitor?
Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry, GitLab, Quay, as well as your authenticated private registries. Diun can also read your local Docker containers and Swarm services.
How am I alerted?
Via more than 15 channels: email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, Gotify, custom webhooks… You choose the channel(s) that suit you.
Are my registry credentials secure?
Yes. They are stored encrypted on your dedicated instance, hosted in France, and are never shared with third parties.
Where is the instance hosted?
On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters, in an isolated container.
