Your custom backend, hosted in France
The ready-to-use backend as a service powered by Daptin, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your data and APIs remain on our French servers — a complete API without writing any code, on a sovereign infrastructure.
What is Daptin?
Daptin is an open-source, self-hostable backend as a service (BaaS). You define a data model — via a schema — and Daptin instantly generates a production-ready API: REST/JSON-API, GraphQL, and OpenAPI, backed by a database, without writing a single line of application code.
Far more than an API generator, Daptin includes user management, RBAC, OAuth2/OIDC authentication, action chains, state machines, scheduled tasks, file storage (with cloud backends via rclone), static site hosting, and real-time WebSocket subscriptions. SMTP/IMAP/FTP/CalDAV/CardDAV protocols are available as options.
Technically, Daptin is written in Go and comes as a single, self-contained binary with a very low memory footprint. It runs with SQLite by default, or PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB, and can be deployed natively, in Docker, or in Kubernetes. It also exposes an OpenAI-compatible endpoint gateway to route requests to external LLM providers.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.
Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is a 'backend as a service'?
It is a ready-to-use backend: you describe your data model and Daptin automatically generates the API (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI), authentication, permissions, and storage. You don't write server-side code; you focus on your front-end application.
Which databases are supported?
Daptin runs with SQLite by default (ideal for starting out without a database server), or with PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB for production. DINAO configures the database best suited to your workload.
Does Daptin include AI features?
Daptin can expose OpenAI-compatible endpoints and route requests to an external model provider (with quotas and billing). It does not host any models itself: it is a gateway. See the sovereignty note below if you enable this feature.
Do I need technical skills?
Modeling data and consuming the API requires development skills. However, you have no server to code or maintain: DINAO handles installation, database management, security, and updates.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable via the API — no proprietary lock-in.
