What is CryptPad?
CryptPad is an end-to-end encrypted collaborative office suite, open source and designed on the zero-knowledge principle : encryption and decryption take place in your browser, so the server only ever stores unreadable data. Even the hosting provider cannot access the content of your documents.
The suite covers essential office tasks : rich documents, spreadsheets, presentations, as well as Markdown, code, kanban, diagrams, forms, and polls, along with a Drive for storing and sharing files. Editing is done collaboratively in real time, with sharing via encrypted links granting read or write permissions, and team spaces.
Designed for organizations sensitive to confidentiality, CryptPad supports SSO/OIDC, account management, and quotas, and is exposed via HTTPS on your domain. Hosted by DINAO in France, it combines privacy by design and sovereignty : your content remains encrypted, within the country, and exportable without proprietary lock-in.

What does 'end-to-end encrypted' mean here?
Encryption and decryption of your documents take place in your browser. The server — therefore DINAO — only stores encrypted data it cannot read. This is the 'zero-knowledge' principle.
