What is Cross-seed?
Cross-seed is an open-source tool that automates cross-seeding : it finds and downloads "twin" torrents present on your various trackers, based on the torrents and data you already possess. Cross-seeding consists of reusing data downloaded from one tracker to seed it on others: minimal downloading, instant seeding and improved ratio, while contributing more to the community.
The tool is designed to match exhaustively while reducing manual intervention, but remains highly configurable. If it detects a match, it can directly inject the torrent into your client: qBittorrent, rTorrent, Deluge or Transmission, relying on Torznab providers like Prowlarr or Jackett.
Its most efficient way of operating is the daemon mode : it runs continuously, monitors your new downloads and new releases matching your library, and cross-seeds automatically. With DINAO, your instance is hosted in France, with configuration and encrypted keys, backed up and maintained.

What exactly is cross-seeding?

Which torrent clients is it compatible with?
Cross-seed directly injects found torrents into qBittorrent, rTorrent, Deluge and Transmission, and relies on Torznab providers like Prowlarr or Jackett for search.
Do I need to monitor it permanently?
No. In daemon mode, cross-seed runs in the background and automatically cross-seeds your new downloads as well as new releases matching your library.
Where are my configuration and keys stored?
On your DINAO instance in France, encrypted at rest. Your configuration, your Torznab keys and your activity do not leave the territory.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your configuration remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
