What is Copyparty?

Copyparty is a portable file server that allows you to transfer files between all your devices, via the web browser or through numerous protocols. It supports HTTP/HTTPS, WebDAV, SFTP, FTP, TFTP as well as SMB/CIFS sharing, making it a universal file exchange solution.

Its flagship feature is the up2k upload system: accelerated uploads that automatically resume after interruption, with no size limit — even when a proxy restricts request sizes. It also includes a built-in audio player, thumbnail generation for images and videos, and full-text search with tag-based indexing.

Written in Python with optional dependencies, Copyparty runs on minimal hardware configurations and starts without configuration. Cross-platform and multiprocessing, it offers an excellent simplicity/power ratio for anyone wanting to host their own sovereign file server.
