CommaFeed is an self-hosted RSS feed aggregator and reader, openly inspired by the late Google Reader. It offers a modern, polished web application to centralize, organize, and read all your information sources in one place, with OPML import/export to easily migrate from another reader, all without ads or tracking.

The experience is very complete: four display layouts to choose from, light and dark themes, fully responsive interface, keyboard shortcuts for almost all actions, and internationalization in over 25 languages (with RTL feed support). CommaFeed also offers push notifications, automatic article marking based on rules, a browser extension, as well as customization via CSS and JavaScript.

For the mobile ecosystem, CommaFeed exposes a REST API and is compatible with the Fever API, allowing it to connect to many third-party native RSS apps — handy for reading your feeds outside the browser while keeping your own server as the single source.

On the technical side, the backend relies on Quarkus (high-performance Java framework compiled natively) and the frontend on React/TypeScript. Storage is based on an embedded H2 database or external PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB databases.
