Real-time for your applications, hosted in France
A scalable real-time messaging server powered by Centrifugo, installed and maintained by DINAO. WebSocket, SSE, PUB/SUB — a sovereign alternative to Pusher and Ably, on your French servers.
What is Centrifugo?
Centrifugo is an open-source and scalable real-time messaging server, designed to be language-agnostic. It allows you to easily add real-time features to any application: chat, live comments, multiplayer games, live data visualizations, collaborative tools, or AI response streaming.
It relies on a channel-oriented PUB/SUB model: your backend publishes messages to channels via a simple HTTP or GRPC API, while clients subscribe using the official SDKs. Several transports are supported — WebSocket, HTTP-streaming, Server-Sent Events, GRPC, WebTransport — and SDKs are available for JavaScript, Dart/Flutter, Swift, Java, Python, Go, and .NET.
Centrifugo positions itself as a self-hosted alternative to Pusher, Ably, PubNub, socket.io, or SignalR. It scales across multiple nodes thanks to efficient brokers like Redis, PostgreSQL, or NATS, following the project's motto: "configure it once, for good".

Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is Centrifugo used for?
To add real-time capabilities to your applications: chat, instant notifications, live counters, live dashboards, multiplayer games, or AI response streaming, without relying on a third-party SaaS.
With which technologies can I use it?
Centrifugo is agnostic: your backend publishes via an HTTP or GRPC API, and your clients subscribe via official SDKs (JavaScript, Python, Go, Swift, Java, Dart…).
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your messages and metadata do not leave the territory.
Are technical skills required?
Yes: Centrifugo integrates into your application via its API and SDKs; it is a component for developers. DINAO manages hosting, scaling, and server updates.
Can it replace Pusher or Ably?
Yes. Centrifugo is a self-hosted alternative to Pusher, Ably, PubNub, or socket.io, with the advantage of sovereign hosting in France.
