Your podcasts, hosted in France
A platform for podcast hosting and management powered by Castopod, installed and maintained by DINAO. Publish, distribute, and engage with your audience via the Fediverse — all on our French servers.
What is Castopod?
Castopod is a self-hosted podcast hosting and management platform, written in PHP (CodeIgniter) with a MySQL database. It allows you to publish, distribute, and monetize your shows, and stands out for its native integration with the Fediverse.
Thanks to ActivityPub federation (W3C standard), your audience can comment, like, and share your episodes from Mastodon, Pleroma, Pixelfed, and other networks — directly under your posts. Castopod also supports Podcasting 2.0 standards (chapters, transcripts, funding…) for modern and rich shows.
The platform provides audience statistics, engagement tools, a multilingual interface, and deploys easily via Docker on any PHP/MySQL server.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does Castopod distribute my podcast on platforms?
Yes. Castopod generates a standard RSS feed, making your podcast available on major listening apps, while keeping hosting and audience under your control.
What does ActivityPub federation bring?
It natively connects your podcast to the Fediverse: your listeners can comment, like, and share your episodes from Mastodon or other networks, directly under your posts, without an intermediary platform.
What is Podcasting 2.0?
It is a set of modern standards (chapters, transcripts, funding, etc.) that enrich the listening experience. Castopod supports them natively.
Where are my shows and statistics hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your files and audience data never leave the territory.
Can I retrieve my podcasts if I leave?
Yes. Your audio files and metadata belong to you and remain exportable at any time — no proprietary lock-in.
