What is BunkerM?
BunkerM is a self-hosted, containerized MQTT management platform that brings together, in a single Docker container, an Eclipse Mosquitto broker and a comprehensive web dashboard. From the browser, you create clients, define ACL rules, monitor connections, explore topics, and configure the broker, all without using the command line.
BunkerM presents itself as an all-in-one MQTT broker manager, featuring dynamic security, an anomaly detection engine, and local automations (schedulers, monitoring). Its community version also includes a local AI assistant, connectable to a model run via LM Studio, providing a private, offline companion capable of understanding the broker's state.
The tool operates autonomously, without cloud dependency or account creation, making it an ideal building block for IoT and industrial projects that require control and confidentiality of data flows.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

What is BunkerM used for?
BunkerM combines a MQTT Mosquitto broker and a web management interface in a single container. You create clients, define ACLs, monitor connections, and explore topics there, making it ideal for managing a fleet of connected devices.
Does the AI assistant send my data outside?
By default, no. BunkerM includes an assistant based on a local LLM (via LM Studio), designed to work offline. However, if you connect an external AI API, your data would be sent to that provider.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your messages and configurations never leave the territory.
Do I need technical skills?
No for everyday management: the web interface makes MQTT accessible. DINAO handles installation, security, and updates.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
