What is BugSink?
BugSink is an open-source application error tracking platform designed for self-hosting. It captures and manages your application errors, similar to commercial services like Sentry, but gives you full control by deploying on your own infrastructure.
Its main advantage is compatibility with the Sentry SDK: your existing applications can report errors without code changes, simply by pointing to your BugSink instance. The platform offers a web dashboard to view and manage errors, multi-project support, and an architecture designed to reliably handle a high volume of events.
Written primarily in Python and deployable via Docker in minutes, BugSink is aimed at developers and teams who want professional-grade error tracking without dependency on a cloud provider.

Do I need to rewrite my applications to use BugSink?
No. BugSink is compatible with the Sentry SDK. If your applications already use Sentry, you just need to point the send URL (DSN) to your BugSink instance hosted by DINAO.
Why host error tracking in France?
Error reports often contain sensitive data: identifiers, settings, user data fragments. Keeping them on a French instance prevents exposure to third-party services and facilitates GDPR compliance.
Is there a limit on error volume?
BugSink is designed to reliably handle a high volume of events. The tier determines capacity and retention; there is no surprise per-event billing as with cloud offers.
Can I track multiple applications?
Yes. BugSink supports multiple projects, allowing you to centralize error tracking for all your applications in a single interface.
Are technical skills required?
Tracking is aimed at development teams, but instance operation (installation, security, updates) is fully managed by DINAO. You just need to connect your applications.
