What is Bookshelf?
Bookshelf is an open-source ebook and audiobook collection manager designed to automate the discovery and organization of a digital library. It monitors RSS feeds, detects new releases from your favorite authors, and organizes files with clean naming and classification.
Each instance focuses on one format — ebooks or audiobooks — and offers series tracking (in development) as well as native integration with MyAnonaMouse. Regarding metadata, two options are available: Goodreads (compatible with existing Readarr databases) or Hardcover.app for higher-quality metadata, including the import of Hardcover lists.
Built around a C# / JavaScript stack and deployed via Docker, Bookshelf is a modern successor to the Readarr project, designed for book lovers who want a tidy library that remains fully under their control.

Yes, but each instance focuses on one format at a time: ebooks or audiobooks. You choose at setup, and DINAO can deploy a dedicated instance for each format if needed.
Where does the metadata come from?
From Goodreads (compatible with existing databases like Readarr) or from Hardcover.app for higher-quality metadata. Bookshelf can also import your Hardcover lists.
Is my library private?
Yes. Your files, metadata, and lists remain on your instance hosted in France by DINAO. Nothing is shared or exploited by a third-party service.
Can I increase storage space?
Yes. Storage is scalable: you start with the plan suited to your collection and upgrade in tiers as it grows, without painful migrations.
Are technical skills required?
No for usage: the web interface is ready to use. DINAO handles installation, source configuration, security, and updates.
