On the AI side, AstrBot supports commercial providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek…) as well as self-hosted models (Ollama, LM Studio), and connects to numerous platforms: Telegram, Slack, Discord, and many others. It is designed for individuals, developers, and teams seeking AI companions, customer service, automation assistants, or enterprise knowledge bases.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.

What is AstrBot used for?

Are my conversations used to train models?
In local mode (Ollama, LM Studio), your exchanges remain on your instance and are not shared. In external API mode, your messages pass through the chosen provider — see the sovereignty note.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. In local mode, your data does not leave the country.
Do I need technical skills?
Minimal to get started: DINAO handles installation and updates. Configuration of messaging apps, models, and plugins is done via the Web UI.
Can I use my own models?
Yes. You can choose locally hosted open-weight models (Ollama, LM Studio) or external APIs with your own key, and you can combine both.
