What is AppFlowy?

AppFlowy is an open-source workspace that brings together projects, wikis, and team collaboration, presented as a privacy- and data-ownership-focused alternative to Notion. Its motto: “own your data and work smarter.”

The platform offers customizable views and databases (tables, kanban, calendar), rich content, configurable themes, and desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile (iOS, Android) apps with a 100% offline mode and optional synchronization. An AI assistant helps answer questions, improve writing, and automatically fill in tables.

Self-hostable and free from proprietary lock-in, AppFlowy is designed for teams and individuals who care about privacy and want to organize their knowledge and projects while retaining full control over their data on DINAO’s infrastructure.

Can multiple people collaborate?

Yes. AppFlowy offers shared spaces and real-time collaboration, with account and access management by team or project, all on your dedicated instance.

Where is the data hosted?

On DINAO’s infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your notes and projects never leave the country.

Do I need technical skills?

Not for usage: the interface is intuitive and similar to Notion. DINAO handles installation, security, and updates. A technical team can still configure SSO and workspaces.

Can I change plans or export my data?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
