Ultra-fast search, hosted in France
Equip your applications with an full-text, vector and geospatial search engine using Apache Solr, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your indexes and data remain on our French servers — never outsourced.
What is Apache Solr?
Apache Solr is an ultra-fast open-source search platform, built on Apache Lucene. It leverages Lucene's full-text, vector and geospatial search capabilities to offer a multi-modal engine applicable to a wide variety of data types.
Solr provides distributed indexing, replication, load-balanced querying, failover and automatic recovery, as well as centralized configuration. Among its hundreds of features: advanced querying and facets, rich content management, spatial search, statistics and aggregations, a plugin system, SolrCloud scaling infrastructure, and an administration interface.
It serves both large-scale deployments — it 'powers some of the most visited sites and applications in the world' — and smaller projects, while remaining accessible.

This application uses AI
The container hosts the application, not the AI engine (which requires dedicated GPUs) : inference is handled externally, with your own provider key. Prioritize a sovereign engine — Mistral AI, NumSpot, Scaleway, or OVHcloud AI Endpoints (France, GDPR) ; an international provider (OpenAI, Anthropic…) only if a specific capability requires it. Inference subscriptions are not included in hosting.
Technical details
You might be wondering…
What is Apache Solr used for?
To add powerful search to your applications: full-text, vector and geospatial search, with facets, aggregations and scalability via SolrCloud.
Is Solr suitable for large volumes?
Yes. It powers some of the most visited sites in the world thanks to SolrCloud's distributed indexing, replication and load-balanced querying, while remaining accessible for smaller projects.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO's French infrastructure, in one of the available data centers. Your indexes never leave the territory.
Do I need technical skills?
Yes, for configuring schemas and queries, intended for developers. DINAO manages cluster installation, operation and updates.
Can I migrate or export my indexes?
Yes. Solr is open-source and your data remains portable — no proprietary lock-in.
