What is Apache Hop?

Apache Hop (Hop Orchestration Platform) is an orchestration and data engineering platform designed to facilitate all aspects of data and metadata orchestration. It is an open-source integration platform that is simple, fast, and flexible.

Its visual development makes designers more productive than with code: pipelines and workflows are built in the Hop GUI. Designed once, they can run anywhere — on Hop's native engine (local or remote) or on Spark, Flink, Google Dataflow, or AWS EMR via Apache Beam.

Life cycle management allows developers and administrators to switch between projects, environments, and purposes without losing track. Having become a top-level Apache Foundation project in late 2021, Hop relies on hundreds of ready-to-use transformations and connectors.
