What is Airsonic Advanced?
Airsonic Advanced is a free and open-source web media server that provides ubiquitous access to your music. Airsonic's goal is to provide a self-hosted, stable, and comprehensive music server, based on the Subsonic codebase, free, open, and community-driven.
Appearing in late 2019 as a fork of the Airsonic project, Airsonic Advanced is a more modern implementation, featuring several enhanced functions. Its intuitive web interface, along with its search and indexing tools, is optimized for efficiently browsing large libraries. Airsonic also includes a built-in podcast receiver, with many of the features you find in iTunes.
Written in Java, Airsonic runs on most platforms. Compatible with the Subsonic application ecosystem, it is designed for anyone who wants to stream their personal music collection without relying on a commercial platform.
