Your modern documentation, hosted in France
Zensical is the next-generation static site generator by the Material for MkDocs team. DINAO installs, builds, and hosts it in France — incremental builds 4 to 5× faster.
What is Zensical?
Zensical is a modern static site generator, designed by the Material for MkDocs team to go beyond MkDocs' technical limits. It aims to simplify the creation of documentation sites while far exceeding the tool's historical capabilities.
Zensical natively reads your mkdocs.yml file, allowing you to build existing projects with minimal changes. While the first build may sometimes be slower than MkDocs, subsequent builds — especially when the site is served — are already 4 to 5× faster, as only modified files are rebuilt.
Fully open source under the MIT license, Zensical maintains compatibility with Material for MkDocs and installs via pip. Hosted by DINAO, it builds and serves your documentation from a dedicated container on our French infrastructure.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Can I migrate my existing MkDocs project?
Yes. Zensical natively reads your mkdocs.yml and builds existing projects with minimal changes, while remaining compatible with Material for MkDocs.
Is Zensical really faster?
The first build may be slightly slower, but rebuilds — especially in serve mode — are already 4 to 5× faster, as only modified files are rebuilt.
Under which license is Zensical?
Zensical is fully open source under the MIT license, developed by the team behind Material for MkDocs.
Where is my documentation hosted?
On DINAO's infrastructure in France. Your sources and generated site never leave the country.
Do I need technical skills?
DINAO handles installation, building, and hosting. You focus on writing in Markdown; a technical team can set up CI/CD if needed.
