What is Xibo CMS?

Xibo CMS is an open-source digital signage solution: a web content management system for controlling a network of screens, from a single showcase screen to a multi-site fleet. From a central interface, you manage layouts, media, playlists, and scheduling, and deliver the right content to the right screen at the right time.

The architecture relies on a CMS server and players installed on the screens: the Windows player is open-source, while commercial options are available for Android, LG webOS, and Samsung Tizen. An XMR (XiboMessageRelay) component ensures real-time communication between the CMS and the screens, and a documented REST API (Swagger) enables automation.

Built on PHP, MySQL, and Twig templating, orchestrated via Docker, Xibo CMS is a robust and proven platform for screen communication. Hosted in France by DINAO, it keeps your content and network configuration within the country and under your control.

What is an Xibo "player"?

It is the software installed on each display screen: it retrieves the scheduled content from the CMS and displays it. The Windows player is open-source; Android, LG webOS, and Samsung Tizen players are available as commercial options.

How many screens can I manage?

From a few screens to a large multi-site network, depending on the chosen plan. The CMS centralizes scheduling, and the real-time XMR relay pushes changes to the players.

Where are the data hosted?

On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your content and network configuration never leave the country.

Can I integrate Xibo with my tools?

Yes. Xibo exposes a documented REST API (Swagger) that allows automating media management, layouts, and scheduling from your own systems.
