What is Whoogle Search?
Whoogle Search is a self-hosted search meta-engine that returns Google results stripped of anything that compromises privacy: no ads, no JavaScript, no AMP cookies, no tracking redirect links. It acts as a private proxy: Google only sees your instance's address, never yours.
Whoogle covers web search, but also images, videos, and news, and remains highly customizable: light/dark themes, language, country, filters, and preferences. Thanks to OpenSearch support, it can be set as your browser's default search engine. An option even allows routing requests through a proxy or Tor for enhanced anonymity.

Where do Whoogle's results come from?
Whoogle queries Google and returns the same results, but cleaned: no ads, no JavaScript, no AMP cookies, or tracking redirect links.
Can Google track me?
No. Whoogle acts as an intermediary: Google only sees the address of your instance hosted in France, never yours. Your queries are not linked to your identity.
Can I make it my default search engine?
Yes. Whoogle supports OpenSearch: you can set it as your default search engine in your browser on all your devices.
Where is the instance hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your data never leaves the territory.
Can anonymity be further enhanced?
Yes. An option allows routing requests through a proxy or the Tor network, and logging can be disabled to retain no traces.
