Your password vault, hosted in France
A Bitwarden-compatible password manager, installed and maintained by DINAO. All your team's secrets remain encrypted on our French servers — they never transit through an American cloud.
What is Vaultwarden?
Vaultwarden is a lightweight, alternative implementation written in Rust of the Bitwarden password management server. Compatible with official Bitwarden clients (browser extensions, desktop and mobile apps, and web interface), it allows you to self-host your own vault without relying on a third-party service, while maintaining end-to-end data encryption.
Designed for personal, family, or small team deployments, it offers a significantly smaller memory footprint and lower resource consumption than the official server, making it ideal for a container or small server. It supports two-factor authentication, credential sharing via organizations and collections, secure notes, attachments, and secure sending (Bitwarden Send).
Vaultwarden is aimed at individuals and organizations wishing to take back control of their secrets (passwords, keys, identities) on infrastructure they control, rather than entrusting them to an external cloud provider.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Can DINAO see my passwords?
No. Your vault is encrypted end-to-end with your master password, which never leaves your devices. Neither DINAO nor the server can read your secrets: the architecture is zero-knowledge.
Is it compatible with Bitwarden apps?
Yes. Vaultwarden implements the Bitwarden API: you use the official Bitwarden apps and extensions (browser, mobile, desktop) by simply pointing them to your DINAO instance.
Where is the data hosted?
On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available datacenters. Your vaults never leave French territory.
Do I need technical skills?
No for usage: the interface is ready to use, and your collaborators simply install the extension. DINAO handles installation, security, backups, and updates.
What happens if I forget my master password?
By design, it is unrecoverable (which ensures confidentiality). You can, however, enable organization recovery options and keep a backup key. We guide you on best practices.
