What is Snipe-IT?
Snipe-IT is a leading open source application for IT asset and inventory management. It allows you to track all your hardware assets — computers, monitors, phones, accessories — as well as your software licenses and consumables, with assignment by user, location, or department, and a detailed history of every movement.
The tool supports barcodes and QR codes for quick inventories, scheduled audits, warranty and license renewal alerts, as well as fully customizable asset fields and templates. Fine-grained roles and permissions allow secure access for multiple teams.
Regarding integration, Snipe-IT connects to LDAP / Active Directory, offers SSO/SAML, a comprehensive REST API, and webhooks. Built on Laravel and deployable via Docker, it is an ideal service to run in a managed mode, with database, backups, and updates handled.
